Book lovers unite!
The very reason I opted for Momo the iPAD (instead of a new laptop) was the iBook application. It’s a ebook reader with a lot of twists! I know a lot may not agree with me because most still preferred the Kindle ebook reader (never been an option to me to buy one).
But wait! Here’s my reason why I chose iPAD instead of Kindle:
- It has other functions aside from just an ebook reader – you can chat, surf, play games among other things.
- The library features is like a real bookshelf.
- And you flip through the pages just like a paperback.
See it for yourself and be convinced!
My friend installed most of my iPAD apps so I don’t know how he was able to download 700+ ibooks for free (Hush Hush)! For some of the titles I will be posting it at my other blog busy reading…
With all those books I don’t know which to start reading!

just had an iPad myself =] it’s a great, great toy to have =]
the books, as you will see in the front page of each downloaded book from iBooks, are part of Project Gutenburg’s free ebooks initiative. many of the books ahve copyrights that have expired already so they are free for distribution. don’t feel bad that you’ve dl’d them for free. they are legally available for free distribution for anywhere to anyone =]
try to dl Twitter for iPad- it is an excellent app, very intuitive especially for chronic twitterers =] use the Dropbox app as well to sync the major files between your desktop/laptop and your iPad. dl the Dropbox app in iPad and in your desktop/laptop to facilitate syncing.
try to dl also the NPR app- it’s a great online resource if you want to listen to non-pop recordings.
try to dl also the GoodReader app- to read your pdf files =]
fun fun fun
hey there sissy….u got hooked on the ipad too ha…. send me some ebooks.
gosh that’s gonna be a lot of reading
Woahhh! Lotsa ibooks! haha!
Great to hear about your experience with eBooks on the iPad. My wife just got a Nook eReader for her birthday which she really likes. I use an eReader program on my cellphone, a Nokia N900. I download lots of eBooks from Project Gutenberg. It is a great site to check out.
Friends had asked me about reading eBooks on an iPad but I didn’t know anyone who had done it until you did. Thanks for telling us about your experiences.
I do have one question. Do you know if it is possible to read books protected with Digital Rights Management (or DRM) on your iPad? My wife checks eBooks out of our local library which have DRM. She can read them on her Nook, but I can’t read them on my Nokia N900.
For more thoughts on this, you might check my blog post
