There’s no transport strike I can assure you of that.
I just want to share my recent experience with taxi drivers and my realization or rather justification of my actions.
It’s scorching hot here in Dubai, so I usually just take taxi rather than walk and wait for public transport. And since it’s hot I guess I’m hot-headed too. I’ve bickered with 2 taxi drivers out of 3 trips I had over the weekend and it made me think that I had faults too. I had a deal with myself to be courteous and clear with the directions as not to create another mess. And so on the 4th trip I clearly told the driver I’ll get to this address and he confirm he knows it. I just checking some mails on my phone when I realized we are taking another road, which was actually a longer way than the regular one. When I asked him he said he thought I was going somewhere else. Duh? And since we cannot return to the supposed to be correct way, we ended taking a longer route.
Can you blame me for being pissed? Not just I have to pay more, my time and energy (arguing) were also wasted.
On a different note, if you’re looking for a real estate in Denver CO you might want to ring Denver home finder. I am sure they would be more than willing to assist you.

It happened to me when I was going to a hotel which the taxi driver tends to take which he said “a short cut”, ended up with a long route, i got late with my appointment and paid double the fare in a regular trip. Kinda pissed! SO what I did was I listed it’s plate number and report it to a traffic officer.
Sometimes, it’s better not to take cab. Totally curse those kinds of drivers!
